MEB Şura Salonu

Şura Salonu, located on the Beşevler Campus of the Ministry of National Education, is one of Ankara's long-established concert and performance halls. With more than a thousand seats, it hosts concerts, theatre and dance performances, and ceremonies. International music and film festival concerts in the city, and festival opening nights, are also sometimes held in this hall. The hall has a fan-shaped layout that opens out in front of the stage. The parterre is divided into three blocks: Tekler, Orta and Çiftler, and on both sides are balcony sections extending toward the stage. Because the navy-blue seats are arranged in tiers, the view remains clear from the back rows as well. Those who want to watch the stage up close may prefer the front rows of the middle block, while families with young children may prefer the seats along the aisle so they can leave easily when needed. The hall is across from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, behind Ankara University. It can be reached by a walk of a few minutes from the Beşevler station of Ankaray. On the street in front of the building there is also a bus stop bearing the hall's name. Within the campus, there is an open-air car park around the hall.
