Bağlarbaşı Kültür Merkezi

Bağlarbaşı Culture Center on Gazi Caddesi in Üsküdar, a multi-hall cultural complex run by the Üsküdar Municipality, is also known by its former name, Bağlarbaşı Congress and Culture Center. The main hall is the 714-seat Boğaziçi Hall. The building also houses the 256-seat Çamlıca Hall and two cinema and seminar halls with 97 seats each. Concerts, theater plays, festivals, children's shows, and the municipality's book fair are held here. Boğaziçi Hall is designed for concerts and theater, with a professional stage structure and acoustics. Its red-upholstered seats are arranged in three blocks that open toward the stage in a fan shape. Stepped aisles between the blocks make it easier to reach your seat. The large foyer in front of the hall and the inner courtyard, furnished with seating groups, form an area where children and adults can move around comfortably. Bağlarbaşı station on the M5 metro line is about 400 meters away, and Fıstıkağacı station is about 600 meters away. Both can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Right next door, Nevmekân Bağlarbaşı is housed in a former tram power station built in 1911. With its latticework and collection of about 10,000 volumes, it is a suitable place to sit before a show, and it is used as a family hall on weekends.
